JUDGE NOT. - Well, I give to the Homeless and don’t want to ask any questions as that would be too judgemental. Matt 7:1; MISINTERPRET NOT - Aren’t those who give to the Homeless but ask no questions (to avoid being judgemental), very much like the Sabbath-Day Pharisees? One misinterprets the Sabbath Day, and the other misinterprets, “Judge Not”;

Interpreting...Do Not Judge & Keeping the Sabbath holy
There are some who say they shouldn't be "judgemental" when giving to The Homeless. Yet, if that is the case, isn't judgement forced upon you everytime you pass the panhandler's sign asking for food or money?

These people that say you shouldn't be judgemental use the quote below by Jesus in the Bible,
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." - Matthew 7:1-2 NIV

However, are those who use the above verse on "judgement" the same as the Pharisees who interpreted the commandment, "Keep the Sabbath Day Holy" and that you shouldn't do any work on Sundays?

8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. - Exodus 20:8-11 KJV

So, what's wrong with asking questions and verifying what the Homeless tells you? Is that a sin to ask questions in the name of being "too judgemental"?

Didn't Jesus say, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;..." - Matthew 7: 7 NIV

Moreover, Jesus in the same chapter also says,
"Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces. - Matthew 7:6

Additionally, isn't "judgement" forced upon you every time you pass a panhandler on the road asking you to give?

Aside: Is the word, "brother", the same as "stranger"? And is the word, "son", the same as "stranger"?
